Coffee Table Book Printing at its finest!

The amazing artist Rebecca Guay, in collaboration with graphic designer Michael Nelson,  envisioned a book with features that were in many ways hard to predict, let stand predictably proof prior to production. Our team made extensive test prints and wet proofs to try to show how the full color artistry would be complimented with available red fabrics, red book edges and red end papers – three different processes on three different substrates. It was a bit of a nail biter but the end result is truly stunning.

Other interesting notes:

The designer requested a matte lamination with gloss UV coating everywhere except the title of the book, essentially inversing the typical application of gloss spot UV coating.

All interior images are spot varnished.

Complimented by a custom clamshell case with magnetic enclosure and gold ribbon, gilded edges on the Collector’s Edition, this is one of the finest art books in our portfolio.
